Murdered rapper XXXTentacion is going to have an open casket funeral as his family invites fans for his public burial service in a 20,000-seat arena on Wednesday.
His family announced on the deceased rapper’s Instagram page that fans are invited to Florida Panther’s Stadium in Sunrise on June 27, saying this will be their ‘last chance to see him’.
The service will be from noon till 6pm.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the funeral will be open casket and cell phone and video cameras are highly prohibited. The Instagram post read;
‘Please leave them at home or in your vehicle. Any person found with any device of the sort will be immediately turned around at the gate or escorted out and will not be allowed back on the premises,’
Another Instagram post, shared by the controversial ‘Sad’ rapper’s mother Cleopatra Bernard, urged fans to donate one dollar each to the XXXTentacion Foundation. She said the rapper started it himself and it was her son’s ‘final wish’.
She said all income would go towards various charities helping less privileged children, kids in foster care, the homeless, widows and families struggling to pay hospital bills.
XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, was gunned down on Monday, June 18, 2018, while shopping for a motorcycle in South Florida.
A local tatoo artist Dedrick Williams, 22, has been charged with premeditated murder. He is one of the two men the police believe were involved in the murder of the rapper.
