Can The "Eagles" Fly At Russia 2018?

In case you didn't know, the official name of Nigeria's national football team is the "SUPER EAGLES" popularly called "THE EAGLES". So when the eagles' jersey was rated as the best jersey among the 32 countries competing for the 2018 world cup at Russia, most Nigerians who are football fans like me felt overjoyed and immediately  predicted a huge success for the eagles at Russia 2018.
But are we being realistic in our expectations and faith in the super eagles? You probably watched or if you belong to this new generation, have heard about the USA 1994 Olympics football tournament, won by the super eagles  with the likes of amazing players, such as Rashidi Yekini, Nwankwo Kanu, Agawa and Jay Jay Okocha, just to mention a few. Did you remember the recent friendly match Nigeria played against Argentina, which was a huge success for Nigeria, the match which ended 4-2 before the official commencement of the world cup?
So what is with the eagles unexpected performance at Russia now? Can the ''eagles'' fly again? Are we not living on past glory now? As a football fan and a loyal Nigerian, I strongly believe the "eagles" that did it in USA 1994 can do it again at Russia 2018, despite the fact that the new "eagles" is made up of a new set of footballers.
So what is the deal? The "EAGLES" should indeed prove that they are "SUPER" to other competitng nations by harnessing all human resources and aiming at qualifying beyond the group stage and possibly to round 16 or beyond. The eagles coach, Gernot Rohr should strategize on tactical formations that will help the eagles build  a strong defence, which is the backbone of any successful football team in subsequent matches, particularly against Iceland and Argentina. Then "THE EAGLES WILL FLY AT RUSSIA 2018!"

  1. Thank God for the 2-0 win over Iceland. Anyways, all Nigerian youths are still lazy except Ahmed Musa
